The UAM Doctoral School is a key element in UAM's strategy to promote high quality training of researchers. It groups 35 PhD programs in the fields of Arts and Humanities, Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences & Law, and Engineering. Its main objective is to improve the quality of doctoral studies, promote their social and international projection, and encourage cross training activities to favor interdisciplinarity, while fostering respect for human rights and for a culture of peace, equality and social progress, and respect for a sustainable development.

The Society of Spanish scientists in the Federal Republic of Germany (CERFA)  was born in 2013 to bring together Spanish researchers living in Germany through a partnership with scientific purposes, independent and non-profit. Currently, they are  more than 600 members .
