Interested in learning hands-on about the latest microscopy techniques? In the middle of the Swabian Alb together with scientific talks from distinguished guest speakers? Right on the pulse of the latest microscopy developments? All this is offered at our “Trends in Microscopy”, the biennial conference of GerBI-GMB, alias GerBI-GMB Spring School! With hands-on workshops and scientific lectures by renowned guest speakers, TiM is an intensive microscopy training camp. The programme will also cover the fundamentals of optics as well as practical sessions on image analysis. TiM2027 is particularly aimed at PhD students, postdocs and members of core facilities.

Please note - invoices will be created automaticaily in the system here, please make sure to provide the address you require to appear in your invoice. You will be able to download the invoices and send it yourself, e.g. to your procurement team. BUT you need to provide your email address for the registration as all messages regarding the event will go to this email address.

With your registration you agree with the following CANCELLATION & INSURANCE Policy:

Cancellation of registration must be made in writing (email) to [email protected]. Before February 16th, 2027, the meeting fees will be refunded, except for a processing fee of EUR 50. No fees will be refunded after this date.
In the event that the meeting is cancelled by the Meeting Organisers, or cannot take place for any reason outside the control of the Meeting Organisers, the registration fee shall be refunded only the processing fee of EUR 50 will be deducted from the refund.The liability of the Meeting Organiser shall be limited to that refund.
Please note that the meeting participants are not covered by any insurance (travel, medical, accident or liability) taken by the Meeting Organisers. The Meeting Organisers cannot accept liability for any loss or damage suffered by any participant or accompanying person or another person during travel to and from the meeting or during the meeting. Participants are advised to consider purchasing their own travel insurance and to extend their personal policy to cover personal possessions.

We offer a large range of registration options to reflect all the different contributors supporting TiM2026. These are broken down by participant type: Academia - Gerbi and non GerBI members, including Phd students, Industry - Gerbi and non GerBI members, as well as speakers, sponsors, workshop providers and organisers. We also offer day tickets (limited amounts for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) as well as packages for the whole week for most of the participants. When registring please make sure to indicate your arrival and departure date to help us with organising the accommodation and catering.

Depending on participant type (academia, workshop provider and organisator) you can stay at the conference venue, a beautifully renovated former military base in the unspoilt landscape of the Swabian Alb Biosphere Reserve.
